Xiaomi recently unveiled that Chinese company and Google will be teaming up at the I/O Conference. It has shown the new Android TV console. This new device was called the Mi Box 4K, and will ship to the US. Earlier versions of Xiaomi’s box were only available overseas, and HD video supportedbut not 4K.
The new 4K Mi Box works with a Bluetooth remote equipped with voice recognition and built-in Google Cast tech so you can cast content from iOS and Android devices. Xiaomi has not said yet when the new box will be available or how much it will cost.
The new Mi Box will be powered by Google’s Android TV 6.0, also support 4K at 60 frames per second. It will pack a quad-core ARM Processor, a Mali 450 GPU, 2 gigabyte of RAM and 8 gigabyte of expandable storage through USB. The device will also have Google Cast capabilities built-in that will enable users to display content on their TVs from Android and iOS devices.
The Xiaomi Mi Box supports 4K UHD content and as well as the latest HDR standards. Other popular apps, like Netflix, Hulu and Vudu will be available for download, and the Mi Box can mirror your tablet or phone’s screen with its built-in Google Cast option. Also
included with the Mi Box is a Bluetooth remote control along with voice search capabilities.
