The Vodafone recently announced the Smart Platinum 7 and now the handset is available
on sale, the Smart Platinum 7 is the first proper flagship that come out of Vodafone HQ. The Smart Platinum 7 is not a £100 phone, it is a £300 on Pay-As-You-Go, and from £28 per month (with a £20 upfront fee) on a Vodafone Red 1GB Bundle, which includes unlimited texts, unlimited minutes, 1 gigabyte of UK data, and 500 megabytes of inclusive roaming. One with serious hardware, and a serious price to match – a combination which might be enough to lure you away from dropping top dollar on a Samsung’s Galaxy S7.
Smart Platinum 7 sports a Snapdragon 652 processor, 5.5-inch 2K display (543 pixels per inch), and a premium glass/metal design, 32 gigabyte of internal storage, 3 gigabyte RAM, 3000mAh battery, 16 megapixel main shooter (8 megapixel front-facing selfie taker), and runs Android 6.0.1. As an added bonus, the company will throw in a Vodafone Smart Virtual Reality headset with orders, which allows you to use the Platinum 7 as a driver for an alternative experience.
There’s only one storage option available (32 gigabyte), but there’s a microSD slot that supports memory cards up to 128 gigabyte. It’s got Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology too, as well as the latest WiFi standards a/b/g/n/ac in 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Bluetooth technology is available in the 4.2 version, along with the NFC module and GPS with aGPS. The final important point to make is that it runs on Google’s latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. Huzzah!
