Optoma has announced a new range of HD Ready projectors. The new range consist of three projector namely: H114, H183X and S331. The H114 and H183X are 1,280 x 800 resolution DLP models claiming contrast ratios of 27,000:1 and 25,000:1 respectively. As part of the living room appeal, they feature in-built speakers and weigh an easily manageable 2.17kg. And both models offer a high brightness output to suit well-lit environments – the H114 claims 3,400 Lumens; the H183X 3,200 Lumens.
The S331 boasts sRGB accurate true to life colour reproduction, long lamp life and energy-saving features to give you with a low overall cost of ownership. The projector is easy to connect to with two HDMI inputs, MHL, built-in speaker and a USB Power. Perfect for connecting HDMI dongles such as the Google Chromecast and the Optoma HDCast Pro (sold separately) or a PC, laptop or Blu-ray player for clear projected images with sound. Lightweight and portable projector can be installed or even taken on the move for off-site meetings with the optional carry bag (sold separately).
Connections on both the H114 and the H183X include a single HDMI input, 3.5mm audio input and output, plus composite and VGA. vertical keystone correction, Installation aids are a 1.1x zoom and a throw ratio of 1.55-1.73:1.
3D playback is supported via the addition of optional three-dimensional DLP Link eyewear. Wireless tranmission is also an option when the PJs are partnered with the Optoma’s WHD200 transmitter. A 33ms input lag is quoted to lure bigscreen gamers.
Suggested price points are £370 for H114 and £350 for H183X. ‘There has never been a better time for football fans to install a home entertainment sys,’ reckons the projector specialist.
