Back in May, the Microsoft tech giant unveiled a new stylus, dubbed as Microsoft Surface Pen along with the announcement of the Surface Pro tablet at Microsoft’s Shanghai event. Now the company has announced the availability of the Surface Pen, finally. It will available for pre-order now on Microsoft’s official website and priced at $99.99.
Currently, the Surface Pen is available only in Platinum color, while the other color variants, including burgundy, cobalt blue, and black, will arrive very soon. It consist of the precision ink on the nib, and a rubber eraser on the tail.
The new Microsoft Surface Pen claimed to be the “faster pen ever” that you have never experienced before. The pen has a staggering 4,096 pressure points, which helps it to reduce parallax. It also provides you some improved controls with compatible apps, and for the shading, it allows you to use the sides of its writing tips, thanks to its tilt feature.
With the tilt support, you are able to shade your drawings with the feelings like you would shading with a graphite pencil. The new pen boasts up the inking experience, meaning it comes with the double speed as compared to the previous one.
The new Microsoft Surface Pen has launched with the Surface Pro tablet, and it works with it. But it is also compatible with the other Surface devices, and unfortunately, tilt will not be able to work with every gadget. The Microsoft Surface Pen comes with a one-year limited hardware warranty.
