The Taiwan-based electronics firm Gigabyte has outdone itself with the ultra thin Gigabyte Aero 14 gaming laptop. Gigabyte has introduced an upgraded version of its Aero 14 laptop. The device has similar specs and features as the model introduced back in June 2016, but now it offers better performance with some upgraded features.
Gigabyte Aero 14 Features
The laptop features a 14 inch IPS anti-glare display with a 2,560 × 1,440 pixels resolution, which can handle a 60 Hz refresh rate and wide viewing angles. The device measures in at just 20mm thick at its widest point and weighs just 4.19 pounds. The laptop screen does not offer touch-based input.
With Powerful Processor
The ultra-thin gaming laptop is powered by a strong sixth generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ (2.6 GHz, 3.5 GHz) “Skylake” quad core processor and equipped with Nvidia’s GTX 1060 graphics processor.
Memory & Storage
The laptop packs a 6MB of L3 cache, and 16GB of DDR4 memory (32GB maximum via two slots) running at 2.133 MHz. And a single M.2 slot suitable for up to a 1TB M.2-2280 SSD (PCle 3.0 × 4 or SATA interface) with up to 2GBs read speed.
Connectivity & Other Features
The Aero 14 includes a 802.11ac Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.1 wireless module, one USB 3.1 Type-C header, three USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a TRRS audio connector, an SD card reader, and an HD webcam. There are also a built-in 1.5 W speakers and a microphone as well as an HDMI 2.0 and an mDP display output.
Under the hood, it packs a 94.24 WHr lithium-ion polymer battery that provides a rated 10 hours battery life.
