Lenovo assures to upgrade its Moto Z and Moto Z Force smartphones to Android Nougat before the end of the year. And yesterday the company unveiled the rolling out the update before the end of November. Motorola says the update of Nougat start globally of this week.
Along with Android Nougat update the Lenovo also adds a prominent feature of the phone, DayDream VR. With the DayDream updates, you can take advantage of virtual reality experience.
Lenovo says these will be the first official, Google-recognized DayDream ready phones after the Pixel and Pixel XL. Currently, Only Google’s Pixel phones work with DayDream VR headset. And very soon it will be compatible with Moto Z phones. Lenovo says its Moto Z earned Google’s seal of approval based on its phone’s display, graphics performance and sensors.
Motorola didn’t announce or hinted the Moto Z line smartphones were compatible with Google’s DayDream virtual reality platform yet, so its undoubtedly a welcome surprise to those who already own the Moto Z smartphones.
Google mentioned that existing handsets likely would not make the cut. The Moto Z and Moto Z Force were revealed just after DayDream’s debut and both houses a Snapdragon 820 processor to help with the immersive visuals on mobile.
